Saturday evening, Jon & I took Ethan to Peltzer's Pumpkin Farm in Temecula. It was a truly beautiful place. We were surrounded by wineries and it felt like we were in the country.
Ethan loved running around the pumpkin patch trying to pick out just the right pumpkin. One of his favorites at the patch was when Daddy started a hay fight and another toddler and Dad joined along in the fight. I sat back and watched the excitement on all the children (I'm including the Dads in this description) while all I was thinking was, the eyes watch out for the eyes!
With the help of Daddy, Ethan picked out a huge pumpkin for us to take home. Ethan also got to see many animals including ponies, and he also got to see a pig race. We should take this kid to Vegas because he said that the red piggy was going to win (red being his favorite color), and guess what? The red piggy won! Ethan was very excited! We also had an adventurous trip through a Corn Field Maze. Our navigator, Ethan, did a great job leading us through the maze. He only made about 2 wrong turns before we were able to get through.
Before we left the farm, Ethan had to go on the train. Ethan loves trains! I think most little boys do, so Jon took Ethan on the train ride around part of the farm. Ethan was beaming from ear to ear.
We had a wonderful time at the pumpkin farm. Ethan did not want to leave 'Old MacDonald's Farm' as he called it, but it was getting dark. We are going to have to go back here next year and hopefully make it a tradition. It was a wonderful pumpkin patch farm!
During the pig race...red piggy winning!

My favorite picture of Ethan that evening...totally shows his personality!
Look, it's Ethan the friendly ghost!

Leaving the pumpkin farm. Notice our pumpkin had a seatbelt...silly Jon!

Our Little Guy's First Gift!
This weekend my mother, Ethan, and myself went shopping to find me a dress for my brother and Christine's wedding in two weeks. Which I would like to add, I only had about 5 dresses to choose from. All of which were some form of black and empire waisted. Anyways, while we were there, my mother purchased a cute onesie for our new addition. It had Horton on it, which Ethan just got a kick out of. Thanks Mom!
*Side note: the only other thing that I purchased for this little guy was a gift from Ethan, which was a blanket for his brother...what else if you know E.

Trick or Treat Night Disney Style!
Last night Jon & I took Ethan to Trick or Treat Night at California Adventure. Ethan had a blast! I have never seen him so excited to be at the park. He was beaming from ear to ear the entire time. We stayed the entire night from 6:30 through 10:30, and he never slowed down. The entire park was decorated for Halloween, there were tons of trick or treat candy stations, music and dancing, and of course the rides. When we got to the park, everyone was pointing at Ethan in his Sully costume. Ethan kept saying, "Everybody is staring at me." I told Jon that there were going to be more Sully's in the park. He could not possibly be the ONLY ONE!...He was! There was not another Sully in the entire park, except for the actual Sully. All the cast members kept complimenting him on his costume. Ethan got a huge kick out of it.
We met up with Stacey, Briz, Taylor, and Brennan. Brennnan was Buzz Lightyear and Taylor was Jessie. Ethan and Taylor were inseparable the entire night. They walked hand in paw around the park getting candy and going to the rides. They even did the craziest thing while on the Heimlich ride. When the ride stopped to wait for the other caterpillar to let people off, Ethan and Taylor started to kiss each other. It was surprising, funny, and Stacey even had to say, "Hey, your mothers are right behind you." It was too funny for words!
The highlights for Ethan were going on the Monsters Inc. ride. He kept yelling this is MY ride because he was Sully. He was acting like Sully while in line. He entertained many people. He was even announced as the V.I.P. on the ride by the cast members because again he was SULLY. The second highlight occurred right after getting off of Monsters Inc.. Briz let us know that Sully was dancing at a zone across the way. When we got there, Sully was so excited to see Ethan (Sully) that he gave him the biggest hug. Ethan was excited, but very cautious being that he is afraid of the characters. Ethan danced and danced and danced with Sully (a safe distance away of course).

Ethan had such a wonderful time, and Jon & I had a blast watching him have so much fun! I am so glad that Ethan is able to experience things like this. At times I think, is he spoiled? But then I think, no. This is why Jon & I work so hard, so we can give him experiences that he will remember forever! It was a great night!Posted by the monroe family at 4:47 PM 1 comments

Look Mommy, I made you!
Yesterday morning Jon & I took Ethan to Michael's to make a pumpkin craft. He is already making a pumpkin craft at Daycare, so it took some persuading to get him to make another one...he is such a minimalist. Jon & I decided that Ethan's best attempt was going to be making a Mummy Pumpkin...you really could not mess it up. Ethan enjoyed putting the glue on and waiting patiently to put on the eyes. When he was done making the Mummy, he kept calling it a Mommy. It was too cute!

20 Week Appointment
Yesterday was my 20 week appointment. No ultrasound to report, since I just had one 6 weeks ago. However, I may be having another one sooner than later. All tests came back great. Everything looks and sounds wonderful. When it came time for my doctor to measure me, I noticed he measured me twice! He then said, "Are you sure you are only 20 weeks?" Huh? I replied, "Are you sure?" He then said, that the baby was probably laying funny because at my last appointment I was measuring exactly on schedule (like I did with Ethan the entire time). I was however yesterday measuring 24 weeks! My mind started racing. Since this little baby was a miracle, I have no real idea how far along I could be. He also mentioned twins! Joking he was, but still. He wants me to give it 4 more weeks until an ultrasound to see if I continue to measure larger than my due date. But you are know me, I have the worst patience of anyone I know! When I want to know something, I must find out now! I am a type A control freak. I am going crazy with the possible reasons as to way I'm measuring 4 weeks larger. He did tell me if I could not wait to call and he would schedule an earlier ultrasound...I think he will be receiving a phone call this week :)!

20 weeks...half-way there!
I can't believe I'm posting a belly picture, but I thought I should remember these weeks. I have no pictures of my belly or being pregnant with Ethan for that matter, that is until my baby shower. I thought this time around, I should take some pictures. This is me at twenty weeks, or my growing belly at twenty weeks. This week I really can tell I'm pregnant. My pants are getting tight! Jon and I are almost 100% set on a name, but I won't share until we are completely sure. I still feel great and can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going. I guess it could be because...we just found out 6 weeks ago.

Do you know what you are going to be for Halloween?
Ethan does! We just got the Sully costume in the mail. Ethan is so excited, which is such a drastic difference from last year. He can't wait for Trick or Treat Night at Disneyland and for Halloween! Lucky kid...he gets to wear Sully twice!
