He is growing up so fast!

After work today, I picked up Ethan from Daycare. He had a wonderful day with his Auntie Twila and all his friends. Twila then informed me that Ethan had some awards in his cubby from the library. I was very surprised and then remembered that he gets gift cerficates for being read books from the library. He came home with a gift certificate from In-n Out, Chick-fil-A, HomeTown Buffet, & Red Robin. He also had his very first library book in his cubby as well. It was a strange one if you ask me, but it is so cute to see him getting books from the library already. His first book is called, Pancakes, Pancakes! by: Eric Carle. I will read it to him tonight. He truly is growing up so fast! Where has the time gone?

Our Sunday!

Our Sunday started out as a typical Sunday morning for us. Jon and Ethan go and get donuts and chocolate milk at the local donut shop for breakfast. We were then invited to visit the Garcias' in the early afternoon. So around noon, we left for the Garcia household. Stacey was gone for the day at work, so we were off to see Briz, Taylor, and Brennan. Ethan enjoyed playing with Taylor a.k.a. Princess Jasmine and Cinderella (which were 2 of her alter-egos while we were there). Brennan did really well following the two around the house and joining in on the fun. Briz had a wonderful idea to make chocolate chip cookies from scratch. Jon, Briz, & Taylor worked hard to make the 3 dozen or so cookies. (Ethan was not very interested in helping...he only balled up a few cookies). After cookie making, was art-time. Ethan lasted about 5 minutes and Taylor lasted at 20.

We had a wonderful afternoon with the Garcias'. We then left for home and had dinner at Fridays. This is a photo of Jon and Ethan right after they said "cheers" to each other...too cute don't you think!
We had a wonderful Sunday together!

It sure was a Hoppity Easter for us!

This Easter was by far the most exciting for Ethan and his parents. The morning began with Ethan waking up to find that the bunny food he had left the Easter Bunny was gone and in its place were"presents!" (as he declared). His favorites were his McQueen sleeping bag, Thomas the Train hippity hop, and his Care Bear figurines.

Later in the afternoon, we left to my parents' house where Ethan searched for easter eggs, which being the only grandchild, was not very stressful and he was able to take his time hunting for all of them. Then it was on to the Easter gift. My father had worked for months researching just the right one. He knew that Ethan would just go hoppin' mad over it... drum roll please...

A Jumper of his very own! Look at the excitement and joy on that face.
We finished the night with dinner with my parents, brother Scott and Christine (oh..and Cordie their dog). We had a wonderful Easter with memories to last a lifetime!
