WALLE

Today we saw the much anticipated Pixar film WALLE!! Ethan has been waiting to see this movie for months. He watched the previews numerous times online, so he knew that the two main characters in the movie were Walle and Eve. The theatre was packed for the 10:45am showing this morning. I was surprised that there were so many people up that early on a Saturday morning. Ethan loved the movie and so did we. It has a great storyline, and the WALLE is just adorable. Ethan just loves all Pixar films. They are just simply magical to him. WALLE was the best!!!

Opening day for Toy Story Mania!!!!!

I had known for weeks and weeks and weeks that Toy Story Mania came out June 17th, which is today. I had been plotting how I would take the day off work and go take Ethan to the grand opening. However, I got stuck in training this week, so Jon was lucky enough to take the day off of work and take Ethan to the opening.

Ethan & Jon arrived at the park at 9:25 in the morning and waited 20 minutes for California Adventure to open its doors. They then gathered into a single file line, which was a line before the actual line. This line took about 10 minutes. Then, they were placed into another line where they waited another hour in line. Jon says E was amazing and never complained about the crowds, line, or heat. While they were in this line, the Opening Ceremonies began. They saw fireworks, and green army men falling from the sky (with parachutes of course). Ethan loved seeing the men falling from the sky and into the water.

When they were 50 people from getting on the ride, the ride broke. It was down for about 45 minutes. Finally around 12:15, Ethan & Jon were finally on Toy Story Mania. Ethan enjoyed the whole entire ride from shooting darts to the play-doh. He even kept his 3-d glasses on the entire time. After the ride, Jon bought E another Buzz Lightyear to add to his collection. My boys had a wonderful on Toy Story Mania!!

Afternoon at the park!

After work yesterday, Jon and I took E to the local park to run, slide, and swing. We did all the above. Even though it was hot, it was great spending the afternoon altogether just the 3 of us.

His first sleepover!

The title says it all. On Saturday night, Taylor Rose came over and spent the night at our house for the first time. Ethan and Taylor played and played and played. They played Toy Story, jumped in the jumper, and took turns playing Bunnytown on the computer. Before bed, they took a bath and had one last snack. Then it was off to bed. Jon & I were expecting this to be a long night of toddlers refusing to sleep, but it was just the opposite. We put them both to bed. One on one side of the bed and one on the other. We kissed them each goodnight and...that was it. Not a sound. They were asleep within minutes. It was so much fun. We can wait to do it again!

He's a Big Kid Now!

On June 6th Ethan finally got his long awaited big boy bed! He was super excited about it. He had been talking about his big boy bed for over a month (about the time we ordered it). He has slept in it very well every night. He only takes up about 1/3 of the bed, and he can actually sleep sideways if he wants too. I can't believe how big he is getting. It is just so amazing how fast time is going. What a big milestone!

Poppa's Work

Last month on the way to Disneyland, Ethan and I decided to stop off at Poppa's work. It was the first time Ethan had been to my Dad's work, and I hadn't been there in a very long time, so it was nice to visit and remind myself what my dad actually does for a living.
